I'm from Skem like the lads and I'm a fan of there music. I heard one of there raps a few years ago and was an instant fan. I asked everyone who these lads were and what there names were. I got nothing, nobody I asked knew who they were. I heard rumours that they had a record deal and were in Liverpool. I couldnt find any more tunes and got no names of the lads.

I recently started working in a factory in Skem and got talking to some guy who offered me a lift home. In his car he throws on a cd and guess who comes booming out the speakers....the same lads I heard over a year ago! The tunes were pure class, I asked were he got the cd and he only goes and tells me he knows one of them! "Skem Poet Society is there name" he says, Im like a school kid in a toy shop! "Do me a copy of that cd" I tell him. The cd is amazing, true to life and full of shit hot rapping. These lads know how to write and rap, they do all there own stuff and are a credit to Skem! 

I have not met the lads yet and hope to eventually. All I know is that these guys need to be heard, many people will be able to relate to what they rap about up and down the country. The struggles of inner Britain and the people who live in towns like Skem. I want to help these lads get the messages across, I dont want anything in return, Im doing this because I know a little about the net and I know how powerful it can be when you want to spread the word. That is all I want to do, spread the word that a new hip hop group is on the streets and they aint taking no shit! These lads tell it how it is! So now you know a little about me go do what we both came here for "Spread The Word"!!
